MY FIRST MAN CRUSH

I don't recall the first time I set my eyes on him, neither can I  remember how the relationship started. Its like I just woke up one day and he was there. Since that day he has always been with  and for me. In all my relationships, this is the only one that has seemed impossible to break. We have had our inconsistent moments of annoying each other, making each other laugh and being there to support each other. Need I point out that no other person has got the perfect remote to tick me off but him. Its like he just knows the right words to say to infuriate me or the perfect action to take to stop me mid tracks. To promote our relationship, I had to get counselling and several sessions where I talk to myself.
Nonetheless, I'm yet to meet a man like him. So caring, selfless, considerate, generous, hardworking, spiritual, insightful and knowledgeable. He would go out of his way just to help you and would follow up on anything that concerns you like it was his personal project. I can't count the number of times he had to sacrifice just to put a smile on my face. I have watched him deal with other women and his respect for them is top notch. For no reason has he ever magnified the male sex over the female. He believes we all deserve equal opportunities and every one should be given a chance.
He isn't your ideal macho man with the six packs and muscles but he is all macho in character. Macho not in being aggressive but being protective. He does any heavy lifting, night search and most importantly tucks me into bed... awwww.... combo of masculinity and cuteness. So I remember the day I saw a wall gecko trapped in a bucket, I screamed and rushed out and my knight in shining armour was there to my rescue...lolzzzz.
Mr. E.J Orifa, has been a solid rock unlike any man I have ever met. So kind and stern at the same time. He groomed me to become the woman I am today. He gave me the free rein to develop independence as an individual, making decisions for myself at an early age. At the same time always lending a shoulder, house, money and even free food to support me in my journey through life. I might not have gotten the best things yet but he made sure he gave me the best things he could afford. He is a best friend to my mom and he is always treating her like the Queen which she is. This has taught me that every woman should be valued and cared for by her man, no excuses. He has always been there for his children even at their worst moments in character and experiences.
He has always been there to praise me in my achievements and encourage me when the road got  a bit rough. Like every father of his time sometimes it doesn't come off as encouragements but if you know, you know.
My first man crush is my Dad. The first person I made funny faces at. The one who spoilt me to a point I hate house chores (now he is blaming me). The one who always killed a chicken to celebrate me each time I came first in class as his own way of encouragement. The one who had to forfeit certain luxuries so I could be comfortable. And most importantly, the one who showed me the way to God with his devotion to God. He taught me the number of books in the Bible, my first memory verse and instilled the passion for God I have never been able to shake off.
So I know he might not read this post, but i appreciate and celebrate him either ways. This is also a shout out to all the Fathers who are their baby girls and boys first man crush. Give a shout out if your dad is your first man crush
